Who is responsible

Lys Bolig AS is the controller for enquiries submitted through this website. Contact kontakt@lysbolig.no with questions or to exercise your rights.

Information in the forms

We receive your name, the contact details you provide, your message and any housing preferences. Move-in dates, budget and other housing preferences are optional additional information. Avoid national identity numbers, access codes, health information and other sensitive information.

Purposes and legal bases

Staff follow up your enquiry. Submitting a form does not produce an automated decision about allocating housing.

• Your own private rental enquiry: Where the information is necessary to take steps towards a possible rental agreement with you, the basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b).
• Other contact and business enquiries: We use the information to answer the enquiry received. The basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, Article 6(1)(f).
• Housing interest: we follow up the specific housing preferences you have registered. The form checkbox is not blanket consent to marketing, unlimited profiling or unlimited retention.

Who uses the information

Enquiries are stored in Lys Bolig’s internal operations system, with Supabase as the storage provider. Staff handling the enquiry use the information for follow-up. Email is handled in Google Workspace. When a staff member requests AI assistance, relevant text from the enquiry or conversation may be sent to the OpenAI API for suggestions. The staff member reviews the suggestion before use; it is not a decision about a rental agreement.

Retention of enquiries

Enquiries are retained for history and further follow-up; no general deletion deadline has been set for this storage. This does not mean information can be kept without limits. You can request deletion; we must assess your request and any requirements for continued retention individually.

Your choices and rights

You can request access, correction, deletion and restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request portability where applicable. If processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it by contacting us. This does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing. You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, using the link below.

External services and browser storage

Google Maps and Google Forms are external links, not embedded content on this website. Following a link takes you to Google’s service, which has its own privacy policy. Images and project media with external URLs are requested from the provider at that address when displayed. Links to Google’s privacy policy and our browser-storage information are below.
